Location: 5 Commerce Boulevard, Plainville, MA How will you make an impact? Materials Planner III, Supply Chain will contribute to maintaining efficient supply chain operations. You'll be responsible for planning and procuring materials to support manufacturing and customer demands. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure timely material availability while adhering to quality standards and cost objectives. This client-facing position will also involve direct interactions with customers, requiring strong communication and relationship-building skills to understand their needs and support effective supply chain solutions. What will you do? Generate and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and weekly material assessments for assigned client programs Support material readiness meetings to track and assess material readiness changes or delays to schedule Support client program change controls as an SME or change owner. Independently coordinate with procurement and quality teams to ensure materials availability is in alignment with site long range production forecast and resolve discrepancies Routinely collaborate with production schedulers and material handlers to ensure materials are delivered on time to support production schedule and resolve delays Understand and highlight changes in program readiness to management and cross functional stakeholders Use SAP system to assess material inventory, review purchase requisitions and purchase orders and perform routine material movement transactions Attend relevant program specific meetings Work with counterparts at other site(s) with a focus on cross site alignment Provide input and recommendations for site initiatives that support planning systematic improvements Mentor junior members of team to support onboarding and training Review expiry CAFs with Inventory Control and Business Manager monthly Hybrid position- a minimum of 1 day/week on site is required Key Contacts: Operations Product Leads, Program Manager, MST/PD: New projects, changes to project scope, product supply, obsolescence, material, and capacity constraints Operations Managers: Capacity or labor constraints, monitor schedule execution. Discuss and implement corrections to schedule Quality personnel: Issues relating to the release and testing of raw materials inclusive of consumables and chemicals that may affect the execution of the schedule or long-range capacity requirements Procurement: Purchasing and materials issues that may affect the schedule execution or create excess inventory. Inventory: Material excess/obsolescence and understanding appropriate levels of inventory Specific Duties: (50%) Review and manage material requirements and material readiness for assigned client programs (20%) Communicate and address material availability discrepancies or material delays with internal and external stakeholders (10%) Review production related documents (batch records, work instructions, sampling plans) for planning impact and approve as required (10%) Lead or participate in external and internal cross functional meetings to communicate material readiness in respect to program health (5%) Own quality drivers to support material availability including conditional releases, updates to material specification (5%) Complete required trainings on time to execute job responsibilities compliantly Experience: • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of experience in supply chain planning, materials management, or procurement in a manufacturing environmen or equivalent. • APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred • Lean/Six Sigma certification beneficial • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and advanced Excel skills preferred • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail • Experience with MRP concepts and inventory management principles • Ability to develop and maintain material planning parameters (safety stocks, lead times, order quantities) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration • Experience conducting supply planning meetings with key stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to analyze and report on key metrics (material readiness, lead times). • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts and principles • Ability to work independently and make decisions within defined parameters • Project management experience with continuous improvement initiatives • Experience in regulated manufacturing environment (cGMP) preferred • Ability to adapt in a results-oriented environment Other Relocation assistance is not provided. Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $75,000.00–$112,500.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
