Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Resume Refiner ("Resume Refiner," "we," "us," or "our") governing the website, web application, Android application, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for users in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you are responsible for compliance with local law.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly update information that changes. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law. Notify info@resumerefiner.online promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not transfer or share an account in a way that compromises its security.

The Service and your license

Resume Refiner provides tools to create, store, refine, and export application documents; discover and track job listings; and generate AI-assisted suggestions. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or exploit the Service except as applicable law expressly permits.

Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of resumes, job descriptions, profile information, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, format, modify, and otherwise process Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service and provide features you request. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from active systems, except for temporary backups and information we may retain as described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content and that our processing of it as described here will not violate another person’s rights or law. Do not upload another person’s confidential or personal information without authorization.

AI-generated output

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate or revise content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, generic, biased, or similar to content generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing and editing every output before using it. You must not claim experience, education, skills, licenses, achievements, or credentials that you do not have.

AI output is provided for informational and drafting assistance only. It is not legal, financial, immigration, employment, or professional advice and does not replace advice from a qualified professional. As between you and Resume Refiner, and to the extent permitted by law, you may use output generated for you, but we do not promise that output is protectable by intellectual-property law or free from third-party claims.

Job listings and employment decisions

Job listings and links come from third parties. Resume Refiner is not an employer, staffing agency, or consumer reporting agency; does not conduct background checks; and does not make employment decisions. We do not endorse or guarantee any employer, listing, interview, offer, compensation, or outcome. Verify a listing and employer before sharing information or paying any fee. Applications and interactions on third-party sites are governed by those parties’ terms and privacy policies.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Free features are subject to the limits shown in the Service. If you purchase a paid plan, the price, billing interval, included features, and any taxes are disclosed before checkout. Stripe processes payment information. Your subscription begins when payment is accepted and renews automatically for the same billing interval at the then-current disclosed price until cancelled.

You authorize recurring charges until cancellation. You may manage or cancel a subscription through the Plans & Billing page and Stripe billing portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, and you retain access until then. Deleting your account cancels active subscriptions immediately and ends access to the deleted account. Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, charges are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated credits for a partially used period.

We may change future subscription prices or features after giving any notice required by law. The change will apply no earlier than your next renewal after the stated effective date. If you do not agree, cancel before renewal. Your bank, Stripe, Google Play, or another payment provider may impose separate terms.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Service or its output for unlawful, fraudulent, discriminatory, deceptive, harassing, or harmful activity;
• submit false qualifications or impersonate another person or organization;
• upload malware or content that infringes privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or other rights;
• probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, authentication, plan limits, rate limits, or Service operation;
• scrape, harvest, resell, benchmark for a competing service, or access the Service through unauthorized automation;
• reverse engineer or attempt to discover source code except to the limited extent a restriction is prohibited by law; or
• use the Service in violation of sanctions, export-control, employment, anti-discrimination, or other applicable U.S. law.

Our intellectual property and feedback

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content other than Your Content and third-party material, is owned by Resume Refiner or its licensors and protected by law. No rights are granted except the limited license stated in these Terms.

If you send suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or compensation, without identifying you publicly unless you consent.

Third-party services

The Service depends on and links to third-party services, including OpenAI, Stripe, Google, hosting providers, job sources, and employer sites. We do not control their services, availability, content, security, or policies. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by a separate agreement with that provider. Open-source components are governed by their applicable licenses.

Changes, suspension, and termination

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue Service features. Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice before a change that materially reduces a paid feature during a current billing period. We do not promise that any feature or third-party integration will always remain available.

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay charges when due, or misuse the Service. When reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.

Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT, JOB LISTINGS, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." RESUME REFINER DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL RESULT IN AN INTERVIEW, EMPLOYMENT, OR ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME. THESE DISCLAIMERS DO NOT LIMIT WARRANTIES OR RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUME REFINER AND ITS OWNERS, PERSONNEL, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, DATA, OPPORTUNITY, OR GOODWILL; OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, JOB LISTINGS, EMPLOYERS, OR YOUR RELIANCE ON AI OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID RESUME REFINER DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, INCLUDING WHERE APPLICABLE FOR FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Resume Refiner and its owners, personnel, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from Your Content, your unlawful misuse of the Service, or your material violation of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Resume Refiner. We will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and allow you to control the defense, subject to our right to participate and approve any settlement that imposes obligations on us.

Governing law and disputes

Before filing a claim, you and Resume Refiner agree to make a good-faith effort for 30 days to resolve it informally by written notice to info@resumerefiner.online. This requirement does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or filing a claim before a limitations period expires.

These Terms are governed by applicable U.S. federal law and, where state law applies, the law of the U.S. state in which Resume Refiner is principally established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding must be brought in a court that has lawful personal and subject-matter jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms waives rights or remedies provided by non-waivable consumer-protection law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required by law. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date. If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before they take effect.

General terms

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Resume Refiner about the Service and supersede prior agreements on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the rest will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, except for payment obligations.
