Accounting Senior Analyst - Evernorth - REMOTE

POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Senior Analyst to join our finance organization. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, while supporting key accounting functions including general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end close. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and play a key role in maintaining a strong internal control environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead and execute month-end close processes in accordance with GAAP, including preparation and review of journal entries and supporting documentation. Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses, ensuring alignment between subledgers and the general ledger. Reconcile internal records to external bank statements, investigating and resolving variances. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of accruals, prepaids, and other financial transactions. Analyze P&L fluctuations and balance sheet activity, identifying trends and explaining variances to management. Support forecasting and financial reporting activities, including ad hoc analysis and insights for key stakeholders. Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of audit-ready documentation and responses. Contribute to ongoing process improvements and automation efforts to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 59,700 - 99,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
