Supports operational processes to ensure international trade transactions involving goods and services are processed accurately and on time. Indexes and scans clean and documentary collection documents within established service-level timelines and ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and reporting requirements. Manages all clean collection transactions and follows up on payments. Couriers clean and documentary collection documents promptly and investigates related delivery issues. Provides backup support to the admin team by scanning and indexing import, export, standby, and guarantee documents as needed. Supports change initiatives of varying scope, with a focus on implementation and sustainment. Organizes information to ensure it is accurate and complete. Completes routine service requests, transactions, and inquiries within established service-level agreements. May serve as a problem-solving resource for junior staff. Processes transactions, completes audits and reconciliations, and responds to internal partner and external customer inquiries in accordance with documented policies and procedures. Consistently meets service-level agreements while maintaining high-quality customer service. Reviews and reconciles information and documents for accuracy and completeness while managing transaction risks. Ensures transactions comply with regulatory and Bank requirements and protects the confidentiality of customer and Bank information. Identifies and analyzes issues, resolving discrepancies promptly. Communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Builds and maintains effective stakeholder relationships to complete work and meet service expectations. Contributes to implementing new processes and systems and improving existing ones. Understands operational risks and regulatory requirements, takes appropriate action, and maintains operational integrity. Supports the development of tools and training that drive business results. Analyzes issues and determines appropriate next steps. Performs additional duties as required. Required Experience and Qualifications: Typically requires two to three years of relevant experience. A related post-secondary degree is preferred, although an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Familiarity with applicable systems and technologies. Knowledge of international rules governing clean and documentary collections. Experience with letters of credit, standby letters of credit, and guarantees is an asset. Understanding of the business unit’s core products, services, processes, and controls. Familiarity with the business unit’s risk and regulatory obligations. Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills. Salary: $40,500.00 - $80,000.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
