Your Role at Baxter This is where my hands make life-sustaining products As a Production Planning Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring customer demand is met by developing and maintaining production schedules that optimize manufacturing resources, inventory levels, and material availability. You serve as the central link between production, materials, sourcing, engineering, distribution, and network planning to ensure products are manufactured and delivered on time. Your Team You will be part of the Production Planning and Supply Chain team, working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on delivering high-quality products to customers around the world. The team plays a critical role in synchronizing customer demand with manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production flow and exceptional service levels. In depth knowledge of fabrication, plating, multiple manufacturing operations within the manufacturing environment. Extensive knowledge of multi-level BOM structure is desirable Ability to multi-task while performing root cause analysis problem solving tools daily. Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with Centralized Network Planning Organization. Manage raw material work orders, communicate, track and report current status daily across the organization. Management of supermarkets and inventory levels as necessary both physically and systematically Ability to maintain system master data complete and accurate Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules. Ensure parts are coded and routed to meet implementation dates of new products. Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, on-time delivery misses, short shipments, or reallocations, so that status reports can be completed. Analyze and track on time delivery misses. Lead countermeasure activities. Develop and maintain a close partnership with Materials, Sourcing, Engineering, Distribution, Production and Centralized Network Planning Organization. What You'll Bring High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree (Bachelor’s Degree Preferred) 1-2+ years’ production control experience (2-3 years’ experience scheduling, procurement, customer service, or shop floor execution.) In depth understanding of MRP and DRP processes Preferred proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications, JDE, and Maestro General understanding of standard planning/manufacturing rules, procedures and processes. Strong communication skills both written and oral a must. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $54,400 - $68,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
