As a Senior Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing the software architecture of our autonomous air defense systems, turning guidance, navigation, and control algorithms into robust, production-grade software that runs reliably on real hardware in mission-critical environmentsYour roadmap to make an impactOwn the software architecture of our autonomous systems, defining how components, modules, and onboard software fit together from sensor input to effector outputTake algorithms developed by our GNC and autonomy specialists and embed them into robust, real-time capable software built on ROS 2, C++, and PythonDefine interfaces, module boundaries, and architectural standards so embedded, GNC, and ground system teams can build, integrate, and evolve safelyDrive quality from design to delivery, through testing, integration, and deployment on hardware, and raise engineering standards through design reviews, code review, and mentoring (including occasional lab or field support) We care more about strong software engineers than checkbox perfection. If you meet most of these and are motivated to grow into the rest, please still apply and tell us where you are strong and where you would ramp up.Technical skillsBachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, plus 5+ years of professional software development.Proven experience designing and owning complex software architectures, from system decomposition to interface and module designStrong C++ skills for performance-critical and real-time softwareStrong Python skills for integration, tooling, and prototypingHands-on experience with ROS 2 (nodes, topics, services, actions) and building robotic software on top of itSolid Linux experience, including development, debugging, and deployment on Linux-based systemsExperience integrating algorithms from domain experts (e.g. control, estimation, perception) into maintainable production software.
