The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to lead our 3rd shift manufacturing operations and a team of approximately 15–18 production employees. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and improving manufacturing performance. You'll have ownership of your shift and work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and other teams to positively influence safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement. Whether you're an experienced Production Supervisor or a manufacturing team lead ready to take the next step in your leadership career, this role offers the opportunity to expand your experience within a global organization. 3rd Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM This role participates in rotating weekend on-call coverage. When weekend support is required, work hours may be flexed during the regular Monday–Friday schedule. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15–18 production employees, creating an environment of accountability, engagement, recognition, and continuous development. Lead daily 3rd shift manufacturing operations to safely meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer commitments. Promote a strong safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, reinforcing expectations, conducting safety meetings and audits, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Manage daily workforce activities including staffing, attendance, overtime, vacation scheduling, timekeeping, and shift communications. Set production priorities, assign resources, and adjust workflows to maintain productivity, product quality, and on-time delivery. Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and other functions to solve production challenges and keep operations moving. Monitor production performance and use operational data to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Lead and support continuous improvement efforts using Lean Manufacturing, Practical Process Improvement (PPI), Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other structured problem-solving approaches. Ensure operations are performed in accordance with applicable GMP, ISO, FDA, company quality systems, and standard operating procedures. Build strong working relationships within a union manufacturing environment through consistent, fair, and respectful leadership and administration of the collective bargaining agreement. What You'll Bring We're looking for a manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing employees, solving problems, and working collaboratively across the organization. You may already be a Production Supervisor—or you may be an experienced team lead or manufacturing leader who's ready for the next step. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of manufacturing experience. 1+ year of experience leading others in a manufacturing environment, such as a supervisor, team lead, group lead, or similar leadership role. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to coach, motivate, and build effective working relationships with production employees. Ability to effectively prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful, but not required: Union manufacturing environments, including experience working with or administering a collective bargaining agreement. Medical device, pharmaceutical, food, life sciences, or another regulated manufacturing environment. GMP, FDA, ISO, or similar quality systems. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PPI, or other continuous improvement methodologies. ERP systems, production data analysis, and Microsoft Office applications. Additional Information This position is based onsite in Meriden, Connecticut. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $80,000.00–$99,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
