We’re looking for a Data Architect to join our team in London.In this role you will set the design principles for our data platform and make sure everything we build lives up to them. You’ll own the architecture of QiCore, our new data warehouse, bring acquired businesses into it cleanly and lay the foundations our AI plans depend on.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the target architecture for QiCore and act as design authority for every build that lands in itEstablish clear approaches to customer identity, PII, consent, data classification, retention and access controls, working with relevant security, privacy and governance stakeholders.Lead the migration of Rewards into our warehouse and single customer view, then turn it into a repeatable pattern for future acquisitionsDefine the modelling, governance and data quality standards our engineers build to, and review work against them before it shipsStay hands-on: prototype pipelines, unblock engineers on daily design questions and lead a small team of data engineersTranslate business needs into data design with Tech, Analytics and commercial teams, so the platform is ready for our AI ambitionsAbout YouProven enterprise or data architecture experience, with a warehouse or lakehouse you designed running in productionHands-on data engineering: you still write SQL and Python, and can build and debug pipelines yourselfStrong understanding of PII, data privacy, access control and governance, with experience designing solutions for both identifiable and anonymous/pseudonymous customer dataDeep knowledge of big data platforms, ETL and ELT patterns, and data governance frameworksExperience consolidating acquired businesses or legacy platforms into a single data modelHigh standards for quality, and the clarity to explain design trade-offs to engineers and non-technical stakeholdersYou thrive when working as part of a teamComfortable in a fast-paced environmentHave excellent written and verbal English skillsLast but not least, you’ll have no ego!What You’ll GetPrivate Health Care (Bupa)Hybrid Working (3 days in office)Travel InsuranceCompetitive Base SalaryCompany Bonus SchemePaid for AI Subscription (Claude / ChatGPT / Gemini)Market-Leading Training ProgrammeRecognition & Reward SchemeAnnual Company Conference Regular Happy Hours & Team LunchesFree Coffee, Drinks & SnacksWhat’s the next step?Our hiring process ensures we're recruiting the right people for the role.
