Our services cover a variety of Asian languages to deliver customized solutions for every need.Role DescriptionThis is a remote role for a Japanese OPI/VRI Interpreter at AsiaLocalize. The Interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation services during OPI/VRI sessions. They will ensure clear communication between parties and uphold confidentiality and professionalism throughout each session. Responsibilities: Provide accurate and clear interpretation of verbal communication between Japanese-speaking patients and healthcare providers.-Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards such as HIPAA.-Accurately interpret complex medical terminology in both languages.-Facilitate communication and ensure understanding between healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring cultural sensitivity. Qualifications: Fluency in Japanese and English (both spoken and written) is required.-Proven experience in medical interpretation, certification in medical interpretation Is a MUST (e.g., CCHI, NBCMI).-Strong knowledge of medical terminology in both languages.-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.-Ability to work in high-pressure situations and maintain professionalism.-Cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds.-Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical standards.-Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends (if necessary). MUST have Qualifications: Previous experience working as a medical interpreter or in a healthcare setting.-Certification or accreditation in medical interpretation.
