JOB DESCRIPTION: Financial Analyst, Area HQ (m/f/d) This position works out of our Wiesbaden site, Abbott GmbH in the Diabetes Care division. Primary Function This position provides financial analysis and support to the International Area Commercial teams and the International Controlling team. This position will support all departments at Head Quarters and will work closely with the Controlling Group to ensure effective financial reporting, identification, and follow-up of business issues, continued development of finance systems, budgeting, variance reporting and Ad hoc business analysis for HQ and for the International Region. This position will report to the Sr. Finance Manager Int’l Forecasting & Business Support and have significant interaction with members of the Area HQ Senior Management team, the ADC global finance teams and the Regional/Country ADC Finance teams. Major Responsibilities: Lead SG&A Consolidation & Analysis - manage, consolidate and analyze SG&A and Libre discretionary submission (via Dodeca and excel) for International regions (57 markets and ~$680 Million in SG&A spend). undefined Support Strategic Planning - Assist in preparing key KPIs and summaries for LBE (Latest Best Estimate) packages, enabling informed decision-making at the highest levels. undefined Forecast Clinical Trial Sales - Collaborate with commercial teams to project and report on clinical trial sales ($5M–$10M), ensuring timely and accurate data for weekly forecasts and LBE cycles. undefined Enhance Financial Processes: Partner with the Sr. Finance Manager and regional teams to streamline LBE/MEC/Confirm deliverables and continuously improve financial systems and reporting processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting or related discipline. ACCA, CPA, or CIMA membership. One to three years of progressive finance/accounting/Audit experience Understanding of the Divisional financial process Ability to interact with all levels of management Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially with multi-dimensional reporting systems (e.g. TM/1, Dodeca), SAP, HFM and Excel Fluent in English - fluency in a second language a plus Cross cultural/International experience and a willingness/openness to International mobility Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Strong analytical skills as well as critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
