You'll join a team of 5 product designers and report to the VP of Product & Design.You'll work mainly on the Zable app, our financial SuperApp with 2M+ monthly active users. It brings together credit cards, loans, memberships, mobile and more in one place. You'll own complex product areas end-to-end, from discovery and research through to polished, production-ready design. You'll set design direction alongside PMs and Engineering, mentor other designers, and help raise the bar for craft and outcomes across the team.The ideal candidate5+ years of product design experience, ideally in fintech or a fast-paced startupStrong mobile app and web experienceCustomer-obsessed and data-literate: you challenge solution-led briefs and back decisions with evidenceTakes real creative risks, and can bring a team along with a clear story for why a bolder direction is rightConfident with senior stakeholders, and pushes back when quality or customer outcomes are at riskAI-native: you push past the first obvious output, not just work fasterEnjoys raising the bar for other designers through mentoring and feedbackBonus:Designing AI-powered products (explainability, human override)Shipping improvements without engineering, e.g. via CMS or no-code toolsRegulated environments, e.g. Consumer DutyUX writingWhat you'll be doingLead discovery, choosing the right research method and turning findings into clear design directionOwn design delivery for your squad, from first flows through to buildWork with engineers throughout design, not just at handoff, weighing build cost in your decisionsContribute to the design system, and know when breaking from it is right for the customerRun usability tests and experiments with clear measures of successUse AI across your workflow, including pushing design changes to production yourselfDesign to Consumer Duty and accessibility standards, and call out issues in others' workRun design critiques and write rationale that stands on its ownOur design principlesSimplicity winsIf a user has to think too hard, we’ve already lost.
