System Engineer

Overview:Kreative Technologies is looking for a System Engineer to design, build and maintain the infrastructure our applications run on. You will keep servers, operating systems and environments secure, stable and well-documented. The ideal candidate is hands-on, systematic and focused on uptime. You should be comfortable supporting multiple environments and working with developers and security staff. Duties/Responsibilities: Designs, installs and configures servers, operating systems and system software. Maintains development, test and production environments. Applies patches, updates and security hardening settings. Monitors system performance and resolves infrastructure issues. Automates system tasks and deployments with scripts and configuration tools. Supports backup, recovery and disaster recovery planning. Maintains system documentation and diagrams. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of systems engineering or administration experience. Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments. Experience with virtualization or cloud platforms such as VMware, AWS or Azure. Scripting experience with shell, PowerShell or Python. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE or AWS/Azure certifications. Experience with configuration tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
