We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.About the roleThis is a key leadership role within our production operation, where you'll act as the lead Maintenance Engineer for your production line and play a critical part in driving performance, reliability and continuous improvement. Working as part of a close-knit line leadership team, you'll take ownership of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to support operational performance.You'll lead preventative and corrective maintenance activities, develop and deliver maintenance plans, and use data and root cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. You'll also coach and support colleagues, champion engineering standards and work closely with Production, Technical and Engineering teams to achieve shared goals.We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent planning and leadership skills, and who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.What’s in it for you?We believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:Competitive annual salaryKP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days for more flexibilityComprehensive healthcare support including Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance ProgrammeKP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback, wellbeing tools and everyday savingsEnhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of lifeWhat will you be doing?Leading maintenance planning and executionTake ownership of maintenance activities for your production line, ensuring preventative and corrective work is planned, prioritised and completed effectivelyDriving equipment reliability and performanceReview line performance, analyse incidents and equipment stops, and implement solutions that improve reliability and reduce downtimeManaging maintenance schedules and work ordersDevelop weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans, ensuring work orders are appropriately prioritised, tracked and completedChampioning engineering excellenceMaintain technical documentation, support compliance with engineering standards and promote best practice across the operationCoaching and collaborating with othersWork closely with Production, Technical and Engineering colleagues while supporting the development and capability of the wider maintenance team We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:Strong engineering qualifications and technical expertiseNVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical, electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering discipline, alongside an 18th Edition qualification.Proven maintenance and fault-finding experienceStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills gained within a manufacturing or FMCG environmentKnowledge of automation and continuous improvementExperience working with PLC-controlled equipment and Lean manufacturing tools and techniquesA strong focus on safety and complianceKnowledge of COSHH requirements and safe systems of work, with a commitment to maintaining high standardsLeadership and coaching capabilityThe ability to influence, develop and support others while taking ownership of performance and resultsOur purposeAt KP Snacks, we're passionate about creating happy snacking moments through our great tasting snacks and iconic brands.
