  • Full time

At Citi Markets, we win together. In a rapidly changing world, our shared vision gives us the clarity, agility and global perspectives we need to shape the future. That's why collaboration plays a central role in how we deliver for clients, develop our people, and grow our business. Our global equities franchise serves institutional investors, asset managers, wealth platforms, and corporate clients across Europe with differentiated research, best-in-class execution capabilities, and comprehensive capital markets solutions. Within our European Equities business, we are committed to deepening relationships across strategic growth markets including France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland, where institutional demand for high-conviction research, corporate access, and intelligent execution continues to evolve. This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role designed to expand Citi's institutional equity franchise across the French-speaking markets of France, Belgium, Luxembourg (Frabelux), Netherlands and Switzerland. You will serve as the primary point of contact for tier-1 and tier-2 institutional asset managers, delivering tailored equity research insights, actionable trade ideas, and comprehensive corporate access in partnership with our global research and execution teams. This hire represents a strategic investment to close the competitive gap versus leading peers, who typically deploy 3–5 dedicated equity salespeople across this region. You will work alongside a lean, high-performing team distributing global equity products, and your existing relationships with key French clients will be instrumental in accelerating market share growth and deepening wallet penetration across high-touch cash equities and derivatives solutions. Primary Responsibilities of the Role Drive institutional coverage and revenue generation across tier-1 and tier-2 asset managers, mutual funds, insurance mandates, private banks, and family offices located in France, French-speaking Switzerland (Romandie), Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Synthesize and commercialize Citi's global, European, and sector-specific equity research into high-conviction, client-tailored investment ideas across large-cap, mid-cap, and thematic equities, optimizing broker-vote share and research commission allocation. Originate and execute corporate access initiatives including non-deal roadshows (NDRs), management meetings, analyst marketing events, and thematic field trips, connecting buy-side portfolio managers with C-suite executives of European and global listed corporates. Collaborate closely with High-Touch Trading, Electronic Execution, and Equity Derivatives teams to deliver integrated solutions, monetize block liquidity opportunities, and facilitate cross-product revenue (including Delta One, structured products, and derivatives overlay strategies). Expand and deepen strategic client relationships by leveraging existing networks within key French accounts and building incremental coverage in French-speaking Swiss markets to offset internal role transitions and strengthen regional penetration. Contribute to the development of bespoke content, thematic frameworks, and client presentations in coordination with equity strategists, sector analysts, and sales management to enhance differentiation and thought leadership positioning. What We Need from You Experienced in Institutional Equity Sales, Equity Sales Trading, or Equity Capital Markets within a top-tier investment bank or leading brokerage, ideally with demonstrated success covering French-speaking European markets. Established relationships and credibility with senior stakeholders (Portfolio Managers, Heads of Trading, CIOs, Research Heads) at institutional asset managers, UCITS/AIF platforms, private banks, or family offices in France and/or Switzerland. Deep knowledge of European cash equity markets, including valuation methodologies, market microstructure, MiFID II research unbundling frameworks, and cross-border institutional distribution dynamics. Native or bilingual proficiency in French and fluent English (mandatory); working knowledge of German, Swiss-German, or Dutch is a strong differentiator for expanded Swiss and Benelux coverage. Strong commercial instincts, tenacity, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and highly competitive sales environment while embodying Citi's culture of partnership and meritocracy. Relevant regulatory clearances and qualifications, including AMF certification (France) or equivalent local credentials; CFA charter or progress toward CFA, SFAF, or CAIA designation is highly preferred. ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family Group: Institutional Sales ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family: Investor Sales ------------------------------------------------------ Time Type: Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: €125,000.00 - €150,000.00 ------------------------------------------------------ Most Relevant Skills Please see the requirements listed above. ------------------------------------------------------ Other Relevant Skills For complementary skills, please see above and/or contact the recruiter. ------------------------------------------------------ Citi is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified candidates will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, status as a protected veteran, or any other characteristic protected by law.
