As an Engineering Lead within the Network Infrastructure Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our public cloud strategy. You will be part of a Public Cloud team that continues to deliver big by designing and managing the platform that enables the automated deployment of foundational resources globally across multiple public clouds. This foundation enables the business to deploy critical workloads, from building a cloud base High Performance Compute (HPC) platform to run huge risk calculations, enabling Citi to leverage GenAI at scale, all the way to enabling payment solutions, this team is at the forefront of innovation. Role Description: The ideal candidate will have experience of leading a team of talented engineers who are responsible for designing, certifying, deploying and securing network resources within AWS and GCP. The role requires a leader with strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and partners throughout the full resource provisioning life cycle, from inception and design, to deployment, operational management and iterative refinement. As an Engineering Lead within the Network Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible in developing strategy building on the existing platform architecture, delivering the tooling and services required to support the deployment and securing of cloud network resources. The Network Infrastructure Team is based in multiple locations across the globe and comprises of Architects, Cloud Engineers and Security Engineers. What you’ll do: Strategic Vision: define and articulate a comprehensive vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the network engineering team, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise technology strategy and business objectives. Team Development: work with the team and help develop the engineers technical and soft skills, create developments plans and support team member career aspirations. Architectural Design: develop and maintain system architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Performance Optimization: monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization, ensuring efficient resource utilization. Engineering Excellence: ensure the team follow engineering best practices and industry standards, using modern tooling that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code. Collaborative Engineering: work with a talented team of cloud network and security engineers and full-stack software developers. Innovate and Automate: identify and develop automated solutions as part of continual improvement to reduce the time to market of cloud services, enhancing client satisfaction and delivering business value. Cross-Functional Partnership: collaborate with teams across Citi's technology landscape to ensure alignment between public cloud initiatives and broader business goals. Compliance Advocacy: ensure adherence to relevant standards, policies and regulations, prioritizing the protection of Citi's reputation, clients and assets. What we will need from you: You will be a talented and experienced technical leader who has previously lead a cloud engineering team. You will have a proven track record of delivering critical and complex infrastructure. Your team is responsible for design, testing and deployment via Infrastructure as Code (IaC). 10+ years of progressive experience technical leader, strong technical skills with a significant experience leading a cloud engineering team. Proven experience leading an engineering team in a complex dynamic corporate environment. Expert level understanding of public cloud network infrastructure services available in AWS and GCP. Expert level understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks in AWS and GCP. Knowledge of Kubernetes, understanding of best practices relating to configuration including security and orchestration tools for AWS EKS and GCP GKE. Knowledge of network and security theory, including router and firewall operations. Experience of working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines, including working with Terraform, Python and Go.
