Job Location KANSAS CITY PLANT - F&HC Job Description PST - Making/Process Technician - Band BTA Job Description Job Family Summary: The PST - Making/Process Technician falls under the 'Manufacturing and Production' job family. This job family includes roles that focus on the manufacturing and production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in all operations. Job Description: The Making/Process Technician position is comprised of several individual entry level positions, that are filled based upon the current openings at the time of hiring. These jobs include positions within the operation running manufacturing equipment in a make/pack environment, controlling manufacturing technology in a chemical production environment, analytical duties within the quality control unit, and/or material pumping into and out of bulk equipment such as tanks, railcars, and tanker trucks. New technicians will become Equipment Owners where you will become an integral part in executing the daily work, maintaining, and improving the results in your area, and troubleshooting outages to root cause. These entry level positions are the feeder groups for advanced positions with opportunities for future growth in numerous other areas of the business including leadership positions, advanced skill development, technology specialists, and many others as a promote from within organization. Most positions require technicians to work a 7-Day rotating schedule which includes working a repeating pattern of days & nights, weekends, and some holidays although some positions may work a different schedule based on business need or could change from time to time (infrequent). Individuals must be willing to work some overtime on short notice to maintain the facility operation as the need arises. Most positions will require working both indoors and outdoors year-round and all positions require interactions working with chemicals of various hazard classifications safely and in accordance with all applicable standards and requirements.
