Role: AV Technician – Government sectorContract Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: 40 hours per week, with shifts between 6am and 6pmLocation: Sunbury, UK, but with travel across England & WalesSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits and work vehicleInterview Process: 2-stage (Virtual and Face-to-face) Kinly is a leading integrator of audio-visual and unified communications solutions, and the largest in Europe, serving as a globally trusted technology advisor to leading organisations. For more than 25 years, we have been designing, developing, integrating and supporting complex audiovisual solutions and businesses rely on us to deliver consistently secure and flexible meeting experiences.We have a new opportunity for an AV Technician to join our highly collaborative judicial sector team to deliver and install AV requirements into Law Courts around England and Wales on a day-to-day basis.This role will require extended hours and a willingness to travel and the ideal candidate will need to be smart, well-presented and extremely helpful as the role will be very client facing.The role will also involve heavy lifting, the movement of large items and the person must be willing to attain Security Clearance if not already held. Key responsibilities:Preparing and maintaining Audio Visual equipmentElectrical Safety (PAT) testing of all Hire electrical equipmentTesting and upkeep of current stockAssisting with maintaining an up-to-date record of all Sunbury based Kinly hire equipment on the internal asset management systemMaintaining consumable stock levels for Government hireSecurely wiping all Government Hire PCs of sensitive data on return from site and ensuring they are updated with relevant software and security patchesDelivery and collection of equipment to client venues, primarily Crown CourtsInstalling, de-rigging AV requirements to enable presentation of evidence in Law CourtsWorking with Clients to ensure they receive excellent serviceLiaising with Clients and the office to ensure smooth running of the eventsProviding cover for on-site Government Hire installation engineers Skills and experience:Technical knowledge of short-term AV solutions, including: Video set up/control, Audio set up/control & Wired and Wireless signal distributionBasic knowledge of video and audio production and postproductionLogical troubleshooting thought processKnowledge of IT, including Microsoft Office and both Apple and Microsoft operating systemsExperience of working in a warehouse environmentGood awareness of Health and Safety and safe working practicesExcellent communication and customer service skillsThe confidence to work under pressure in a professional environmentA UK driving licenseFlexibility as overtime will be involved, including some weekends, evenings and overnight stays requiredComfortable going through the Security Clearance vetting (organised by Kinly).
