We’re hiring a Compensation Specialist to join the compensation team as we continue to grow! Compensation at Datadog is a data-driven team dedicated to constantly improving the way we hire, develop, and support our most valuable asset: our people. In this role, you will support core compensation programs while developing particular expertise in executive compensation, compensation planning for new-market entry, and mergers and acquisitions. You will partner with stakeholders across the People team, Finance, Legal, Tax, Payroll, and other business functions to analyze complex compensation questions and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations. What You’ll Do: Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers including PBPs, People Leadership, and other Senior Leadership at Datadog Support the design, administration, and governance of executive compensation programs, including executive benchmarking and compensation-related materials for senior leadership and the Compensation Committee Assist with annual executive compensation planning processes and the preparation and validation of compensation data used in public-company disclosures Support compensation planning for entry into new countries and markets, including market-pricing approaches, salary structures, statutory compensation requirements, pay practices, and implementation considerations Support compensation due diligence and integration for mergers and acquisitions, including employee census reviews, job and level mapping, compensation comparisons, incentive and equity analyses, retention planning, and compensation harmonization Partner closely with People Business Partners to provide relevant compensation analyses Who you are: 4+ of compensation or related experience Attention to detail and analytically driven Experience leading efforts around market pricing, annual compensation cycles, compensation plan/structure design Experience in executive compensation and compensation committee preparation a strong plus A collaborative, self-starter mindset with the ability to flex and think critically Some understanding of RSUs and other equity offerings The ability to distill large and complex data sets into digestible, relevant points supporting recommendations A commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and utilizing appropriate tact and professionalism Awareness of global compensation principles and regulations Ability to balance multiple priorities Workday experience preferred Datadog values people from all walks of life. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
