ROLE The Senior Legal Counsel, Privacy will work with the wider legal team and Farfetch’s business and tech teams with the aim of ensuring that the Farfetch Group is compliant with applicable privacy standards worldwide. The role will provide advice on all aspects related to data protection compliance, including risk mitigation strategies for a multi-jurisdictional, tech-oriented company. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Design and develop comprehensive privacy frameworks, ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and integration with organizational processes and technologies Respond to data protection queries and provide guidance on policy/procedural requirements to business teams across the Group Companies Support the Head of Legal Data Privacy as the specialist lead for privacy on the ongoing projects of ensuring Farfetch Group's compliance with global Data Protection Laws and regulations Monitor the global regulatory landscape for updates on privacy laws, regulations, guidelines, and court rulings, with a focus on the key business jurisdictions for the Group. Support the drafting, review and negotiations of Data Protection Clauses in an array of commercial agreements, ensuring Farfetch is protected both in the position of controller and as a processor Act as an advisor for material business projects, working autonomously to ensure "Privacy by Design" is embedded in new product launches and tech initiatives Assist the Head of Legal Data Privacy in assessing new projects and providers regarding compliance with the Group's privacy standards Support with continuously improving and deploying targeted, high-impact training sessions for specific business functions (e.g., Marketing, Engineering, People Team) to ensure that Privacy is embedded in the company culture Proactively audit the existing privacy program to identify improvement opportunities.
