Telehealth Rheumatologist — Tele-Rheumatology About the OpportunityMindCare Solutions is seeking a board-certified Rheumatologist to join our growing Tele-Rheumatology service line, supporting Acute Care hospital partners. This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape a new specialty service from the ground up, bringing timely rheumatologic expertise to hospitals facing significant specialist shortages nationwide. Licensure: MO, CO Schedule: PRN Compensation: negotiable Why This Role MattersThe American College of Rheumatology projects a 31% decline in practicing rheumatologists by 2030, against a 138% increase in demand. Hospitals are struggling to provide timely specialist care for complex inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. MindCare's Tele-Rheumatology program bridges that gap, connecting hospital care teams with board-certified rheumatologists on demand, 24/7, through our telehealth platform and Care Navigation Hub. Scope of Practice Tele-Rheumatology services, on demand, 24/7/365 Inflammatory arthritis evaluation and management Autoimmune and connective tissue disease workup Biologic therapy initiation and monitoring Inpatient flare management and discharge planning Inpatient, ED, and outpatient access across Acute Care facilities The specific case mix will vary by facility; the ideal candidate is comfortable managing a broad range of inflammatory and autoimmune rheumatologic conditions across inpatient settings. Consultation Model Live video for complex or urgent presentations Asynchronous review of labs, imaging, and notes for routine consults Recommendations documented directly in the facility's EMR Routine consult turnaround within defined service levels, with urgent escalation pathways for acute flares and time-sensitive presentations Qualifications Board-certified in Rheumatology (ABIM or equivalent) Active, unrestricted medical license(s); willingness to obtain additional state licensure as needed Experience managing inpatient and outpatient rheumatologic conditions Comfortable practicing in a telehealth/virtual care model Strong communication skills for collaborating with hospital-based care teams What MindCare Offers Opportunity to be part of a new, growing specialty service line from the ground up Flexible, remote telehealth practice model Support from MindCare's 24/7 Care Navigation Hub for consult coordination and escalation management Competitive per-encounter and/or hourly compensation models Credentialing and licensure support Originally posted on Himalayas
