Head of Investment Fund Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Fund Operations to oversee the operational management of a diverse Swiss and Luxembourg fund portfolio within an established international private banking environment.In this responsible leadership role, you will manage a small team of fund operations specialists and ensure reliable, accurate and efficient processes across fund data, cost management, NAV controls and reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders as well as fund administrators, system providers, auditors, tax advisors and other external partners. As a member of the Valuation Committee, you will also contribute your expertise to fund valuation-related decisions.The position offers a combination of team leadership, fund operations expertise, data management, regulatory knowledge and process automation, with considerable scope to improve existing processes and further professionalise the operational setup.Location: BaselYour Responsibilities:Manage and develop a team of three Fund Operations specialists and oversee operations for the complete Swiss and Luxembourg fund portfolioEnsure the availability, integrity and quality of fund data across the relevant internal systemsMonitor end-to-end data flows and act as the key contact for the external system providerReview and validate important fund indicators such as TER, PTR, OGC and transaction costsTake ownership of the PRIIPs KID production process and ensure that the underlying information is accurate and up to dateManage the relationship with CACEIS concerning NAV data, including plausibility controls and the investigation and resolution of discrepanciesParticipate in valuation-related decisions as an active member of the Valuation CommitteeCoordinate the preparation and publication of annual and semi-annual fund reportsLiaise with auditors and tax advisors and oversee relevant fund-related tax topicsReview fund-related invoices and ensure transparency and accuracy of associated costsCoordinate the preparation of factsheets, monthly fund manager reports and regular reporting for wholesale clientsAnalyse existing processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency, automation and data qualityDrive the use of automation and data-driven approaches to improve fund operations and reportingEnsure that operational processes and reporting activities are aligned with applicable Swiss and Luxembourg regulatory requirementsServe as a knowledgeable and reliable contact for internal stakeholders and external service providers across fund operationsYour Profile:At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in fund operations, fund controlling, fund accounting, fund administration or fund auditComprehensive knowledge of the Swiss and Luxembourg fund landscape, ideally including CISA, FINMA, AMAS, UCITS and CSSF regulationsPractical experience with NAV control and oversight and cooperation with external fund administratorsPrevious experience with CACEIS is considered an advantageStrong knowledge of fund reporting, data management, valuation processes and fund-related cost structuresGood technical capabilities, including Python or a comparable scripting language, advanced Excel and experience working with databases and SQLExperience in automating operational, data or reporting processes is highly desirableStrong analytical skills and a precise, structured approach to complex data and processesA proactive, hands-on working style with a high degree of personal responsibilityPrevious leadership or people management experience is an advantageExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across different functions and organisationsHigh level of integrity, reliability and accountabilityComfortable working in an international, regulated financial services environmentUniversity or FH degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a comparable disciplineExcellent English skills; German and French are advantageousWhat We Offer:A senior position with broad responsibility for the operational management of a Swiss and Luxembourg fund portfolioThe opportunity to shape and further improve the Fund Operations function and its processesA varied role combining leadership, fund operations, data and automationRegular interaction with senior internal stakeholders and key external partnersThe opportunity to contribute to the Valuation Committee and support important fund-related decisionsSignificant scope to introduce process improvements and strengthen automation and data qualityAn international environment within an established and reputable private banking organisationFlexible working arrangements and a modern working environmentOpportunities for continued professional and personal development Find more English Speaking Jobs in Switzerland on Arbeitnow
