Python Engineer (Data & Cloud Platforms)

................For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to build and operate scalable software solutions and data products in a cloud-native environment.Your Responsibilities:Software Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions using Python Take end-to-end ownership of features from requirements and design through deployment and production support Develop and maintain REST APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-native services Write clean, maintainable, testable, and high-quality code Cloud & Operations Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and data quality controls Troubleshoot production issues and improve system stability, scalability, and performance Collaboration & Architecture Collaborate with product owners, data stewards, source system teams, and business stakeholders Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement Support business-critical applications and data products Your Profile: Strong experience in Python software development Experience building, deploying, and operating production-grade applications Solid understanding of software engineering, OOP, testing, and CI/CD Experience with REST APIs and microservice architectures Knowledge of GCP and cloud-native development Experience with Git-based development workflows Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience with Apache Beam or large-scale data processing is a plus Experience with Terraform, Docker, or other Infrastructure as Code and containerization technologies is a plus Knowledge of GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted software development is a plus Fluent in English Originally posted on Himalayas
