Software-Based Load Balancing Expert - remote - consultancy

This is a remote position.We are looking for an experienced engineer or architect who haspersonally designed and implemented large-scale, horizontally scalable software load balancing solutions, using technologies such as HAProxy, NGINX, or equivalent.The objective is to learn from practical experience how software-based load balancing can provide the required capabilities without relying on hardware load balancer appliances.Specific scope: Architectures supporting hundreds of thousands of requests per second. Horizontally scalable farms of software load balancers. Load balancing a single application exposed through a single IP address. Design approaches such as Anycast, hierarchical load balancing, or other relevant architectures. Understanding the design, advantages, disadvantages, and trade-offs of these approaches. Limited header rewriting requirements. The opportunity would initially involve short-term technical consulting, with potential for further work as the project progresses. Requirements Strong experience with F5 BIG-IP Hands-on experience with HAProxy, NGINX or similar software load balancers Strong knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP and SSL termination Experience designing high-throughput, highly available load-balancing platforms Knowledge of Anycast, horizontal scaling and multi-tier load-balancing architectures Experience with header/content rewriting is beneficial Key requirement:We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience building and operating solutions of this type at scale, rather than someone offering a theoretical assessment.
