The ambition is to combine increasingly accessible sequencing technology with advanced bioinformatics to develop clinically meaningful products while building a proprietary data foundation for future diagnostic applications.What you will doAs Founder / CEO, you will take the helm of a fast-moving startup, leveraging the declining cost of metagenomic sequencing to build a category-leading, data-driven molecular diagnostics platform.Your responsibilities include:Define and execute the company's vision, strategy and product roadmapDrive scientific validation, product development and commercializationBuild and lead a high-performing team and build out strategic partnerships with labsDrive commercial growth, fundraising and investor relationsTake full ownership of company execution, operations and performanceYour profileStrong background in data-driven / digital healthcare, diagnostics or precision medicine Experience in healthcare or diagnostic product development and/or commercialization, ideally with exposure to laboratory workflows, clinical validation and/or regulatory requirements (MDR/IVDR)Solid scientific and analytical judgment, with the ability to critically assess clinical evidence, technical feasibility and commercial potentialStrong commercial acumen, ideally with experience in go-to-market, sales, partnerships or early customer traction in healthcare or life sciencesEntrepreneurial experience in building products, businesses or new initiatives from the ground up, ideally in resource-constrained environmentsInspiring and credible leader with the ability to attract exceptional talent, build high-performing teams and establish strong industry relationshipsStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex science into compelling products, business opportunities and investor narrativesHigh agency, ownership mindset and evidence-driven decision-makingWhat we offerOpportunity to build and lead a company at the intersection of metagenomics, AI and precision medicine, with meaningful founder equityDirect access to experienced entrepreneurs, investors, clinicians and scientists across the Spira Labs, Picus Capital and Arvantis Group networksOngoing partnership discussions with three leading diagnostic laboratories in Germany, providing a strong foundation for scientific validation, product development and commercializationHands-on venture-building support, initial funding and access to operational resources and expertiseHigh degree of entrepreneurial autonomy, with a lean team, fast decision-making and the freedom to shape the company from day oneFlexible working arrangements and an attractive office in central MunichFind Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
