This hands-on role focuses on the day-to-day operation and support of TAROT applications and environments. Responsibilities include monitoring applications and scheduled jobs, investigating incidents, supporting deployments, maintaining environments and automating repetitive operational processes. The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to improve application stability, deployment efficiency and operational resilience within a regulated financial services environment. This is an application-focused operational role, rather than a platform architecture or large-scale infrastructure transformation position. Key Responsibilities Monitor applications, services, interfaces and scheduled jobs. Investigate alerts, failed jobs, deployment issues and service interruptions. Support development, testing, UAT and production environments. Assist with environment setup, configuration and troubleshooting. Support application releases, deployments and rollback activities. Maintain and improve existing CI/CD pipelines. Automate repetitive support, deployment and environment-management tasks. Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and IIS-hosted applications. Review application and system logs to diagnose operational issues. Improve monitoring, alerting, operational documentation and support procedures. Support vulnerability remediation, patching, audit and change-management activities. Work closely with developers and enterprise support teams to resolve incidents and recurring problems. Required Experience Experience in application support, production support, DevOps support or operational engineering. Hands-on experience supporting business-critical applications across multiple environments. Experience monitoring applications, services or scheduled jobs. Experience investigating incidents, failed deployments and environment issues. Experience supporting software releases and deployment processes. Practical scripting or automation experience. Experience working directly with software development teams. Financial services or regulated-industry experience is desirable. Technical Skills Essential Strong application and operational troubleshooting skills. Windows Server and IIS administration experience. Experience supporting Microsoft and .NET-based applications. Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Experience with source control and code-promotion processes. Experience using logs and monitoring tools to investigate issues. PowerShell, Python or similar scripting experience. Understanding of incident, problem, change and release management. Ability to create clear operational documentation and support procedures. Desirable SQL and basic database troubleshooting. Application monitoring and observability tools. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalent. Job scheduling or batch-processing platforms. SonarQube and security-scanning tools. Azure or another cloud platform. Docker, Kubernetes or Infrastructure as Code exposure. Cloud and platform-engineering experience is beneficial but is not the primary focus of the role. Personal Attributes Practical, hands-on and comfortable managing day-to-day support activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Collaborative and able to work effectively within a development team. Able to take direction while independently progressing assigned work. Confident in raising concerns and constructively challenging decisions. Comfortable balancing incidents, deployments and planned improvements. Focused on simple, proportionate and maintainable solutions. Motivated to automate repetitive work and improve operational processes.
